Our Doctor
Dr. Mark Lively graduated from the University of South Florida in 1984 with a B.S. in Chemistry. From there he attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top of his class. He was the first student to ever receive both the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award and the Pierre Fauchard Award for Outstanding Dental Achievement in the same year. Following dental school, he completed an orthodontic residency at the University of Louisville.
Dr. Lively has been in private practice since 1990. He moved from Tampa to Martin County in 1993 so that he could raise his family in a small town, and establish a quaint, hands-on orthodontic practice.
His office is centrally located in Stuart and provides outstanding orthodontic treatment for children, adolescents and adults. The practice sees patients from Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, Port Salerno, Hobe Sound, Tequesta, Okeechobee and even the Bahamas. As a specialist, his practice is limited only to providing orthodontic care.
Dr. Lively is active in his community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for Character Counts. He has also served on the boards of the YMCA, Seacoast National Bank, and Success by Six. His wife, LaDonna, has served on the board of the Martin County Red Cross and volunteers at Hidden Oaks Middle School and Martin County High School. She has just recently finished her two year rotation as the PTA president for BCE. Dr. Lively’s boys are also actively involved with the Martin County chapter of the Red Cross.
Dr. Lively has received many awards for his work in his community, such as the 2006 "Pillar of the Community Award" , recognition for his 15-year commitment to the Adopt-A-Class Program, “Outstanding Community Business Partner” with several of our local schools and the “District 5 Award” for Citizenship and Philanthropy in Martin County. Dr. Lively feels that he and his family are blessed to live in such a wonderful community and enjoys being able to give back to the community.

He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Lively and his wife, LaDonna, have three boys: Jesse, Nick and Matt. When Dr. Lively is not busy creating beautiful smiles, you can usually find him at one of his sons’ sporting events or spending quality time with family and friends.
